When Gorge died, she along with her other sisters (with the exception of Hypermnestra)were sent to the fields of punishment where they were assigned the task of carrying water from a river in hole filled jugs which they had to pour into a leaking jar. Only when they filled the jug would she and her sisters no longer be punished. The task however is for all intensive purposes impossible and so they continue to be punished.
