The story will begin a few days after where Battlestar Hermes: Salvage left off. The basis of the story will revolve around the discovery of a surviving Colonial Faststar operated by the Ministry of Intelligence (MoI) and will see the return of Galit Malka and Keene Barron from Ride of the Valkyrie. Galit Malka reveals to the crew of the Hermes the location of a secret base with enough weapons to "fight a war" but Bowman suspects there is more to this base than what she is telling them.
