The Investigative Data Warehouse (IDW) is an FBI project that provides the Bureau with a single access point to several data sources that were previously available only through separate, stove-piped systems. By providing consolidated access to the data, analytical tools can be used across data sources to provide a more complete view of the information possessed by the FBI.
