Kyría Koubikoularia is the second most senior member of the Household of the Empress of Diadochia, behind the Zoste Patrikia She has a co-equal status with the Kyría Kouropalatissa. The name of the office roughly translates to Lady Chamberlain, signifying the holder's chamberlain like roles in the Empress' household, overseeing her Majesty's wardrobe. The Kyría Koubikoularia is responsible for the Empress wardrobe, and her clothing. The Kyría Koubikoularia also handles the Empress' napkins, her chesmises (shirts) and her lace (along side the Kyría Kouropalatissa.
