Nancy Silverman (neé Rubinstein) (1911 - 7 March 2006) From Liverpool, she was the daughter of Russian refugees: Louis Rubinstein and his wife Leah. Her father was a flautist and shop keeper and she was also a musician. In 1933 married Sydney Silverman (1895-1968), Labour Party member of parliament for Nelson and Colne 1935-68. Labour Party member of the London County Council representing Lambeth, Norwood 1958-61.
