Douglas has been a successful painter since the 1970's and has been teaching art currently for the Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art and the Art Institute of California in Los Angeles. He started animation in 1990 working on Background Art for Walt Disney London on The New Adventures of Winnie The Pooh. and Layout for The Ducktales Movie. From there he worked on The Thief & The Cobbler, We're Back, Balto, Pinocchio and a animated movie of Cats which was suspended and never revived to the best of my knowledge. In 1994 he did storyboards of the UK Lottery Launch, layout for the Wind In The Willows television series, and X-Men Evolution doing background keys.
