James "Sonny" Crockett drove a black 1981 Ferrari BB 512i, commonly known as the Ferrari Berlinetta Boxer, in the 1985 Pepsi commercial featuring the character. Due to the one-off nature of the short, the car had little screen time and given the fact it only ever appeared in a commercial rather than on the show, the Berlinetta remains by far the most obscure vehicle Crockett drove. In the commercial, the car stalls after driving through water lying in the road, and Crockett and his passenger, Glenn Frey, are forced to enter a nearby nightclub in search of assistance. Eventually, the patrons of the club help give Crockett's car a push start, sending him on his way once more.
