The 1963-02 was a Grand National (now Nextel Cup) event held at Golden Gate Speedway on November 11, 1962. Despite the '62 date, it was the second race of the '63 season. Richard Petty had finished second to Jim Paschal in the season opener. This time around, Petty led 158 of the 200 laps in route to a one carlength victory over Paschal. Eventual season champion Joe Weatherly finished 3rd. Stats
