"Folsom Prison Blues" is a very famous song written and performed by Johnny Cash in July 30, 1955. It was inspired by a movie, "Inside The Walls of Folsom Prison", that he watched while serving in the U.S. Air Force in West Germany. One of the lines, "I shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die" was inspired while he thought of the worst reason to shoot someone.
