Chakra Diamonds are an unexplained phenomenon. These diamonds have vast amounts of condensed chakra store within. An individual can tap into this chakra by making physical contact with the diamond and utilizing any technique that utilizes chakra. Although thought only to be items of legend and myth, Hādo Iwa discovered that they are indeed real while exploring the Diamond Caverns, shortly before the beginning of the 4th Great Shinobi War. Shortly after, Hādo also discovers that he is not the only one who knows of their existence.
