She is known in the game show world for winning Wheel of Fortune's Vanna for a Day contest. Like over 1,000 other women competing in this contest, Katie sent in her audition video chronicling why she's best suited for the job of "letter turner". In fact, her video featured her as having "The Vanna Effect" to which everything she touched had a letter pop up. Needless to say, that her audition video was selected as the winning video, so she came out to Hollywood from the dream job of a lifetime. Her show was televised on March 21, 2011, but she only did two of the rounds (rounds 2 & 3) that night. Other than that, she was praised for her work.
