Gregory Nicotero (born March 15, 1963; age 54) was a special effects make-up artist on 24: Redemption. Nicotero has over 400 film and TV make-up credits, dating back to George Romero's Day of the Dead (1985). He is the co-founder of KNB EFX Group, whose artists have received numerous awards and nominations for their work, including from the Creative Arts Emmy Awards and Academy Awards. Nicotero is also well known as the designer responsible for the zombie effects on AMC's The Walking Dead. Since 2011, he is also a producer and has become the most prolific director on the series.
