The 2008 Coke Zero 400 was a Sprint Cup Series event held at Daytona International Speedway on July 5, 2008. Kyle Busch found victory lane yet again, squeezing past Jeff Gordon prior to the last caution and then fending off a ferocious charge by Carl Edwards on the green-white-checkered. The race ended under yellow after a massive crash occurred just after taking the white flag. Edwards and Busch were side-by-side at that point, with Busch being ruled ahead after watching replays. Busch's points lead hit a season-high 182 points on the new second place man, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. (8th).
