This is the Interceptor from the TV show UFO. It uses a chemical rocket to take off from the moonbase, requiring 1 mps of fuel (the remaining 0.08 mps is used to slow descent when landing again). Officially, its main drive is an "atomic plasma" drive which is a little vague. At TL 8 it could be a external pulsed plasma drive, but the ship is too small to have the required rear armor. Or it might mean an electric engine of a higher TL. I opted for a TL 8 nuclear thermal rocket as a stand-in. It uses this drive to maneuver into a position where it can launch its missile to intercept the UFOs trajectory. UFOs move at relativistic or FTL speeds, and the best that can be hoped for is a blanket nuclear detonation. [http://www.gerryanderson.co.uk/science-ufo-interceptor/]
