The "golden pass" was an Oceanic Airlines promotional offer. Buyers of a golden pass were entitled to unlimited travel with the airline. The airline gave members of the Oceanic Six golden passes as part of the Oceanic Flight 815 crash settlement. ("Through the Looking Glass, Part 2") After leaving the Island, Jack used his golden pass to fly to different locations around the world--including Tokyo, Singapore, and Sydney-- every Friday, hoping that his flight would crash in an attempt to return to the Island.
