Satanas was a scientist native to Pluto. A thousand years ago, he committed crimes that were shocking even by Plutonians' lax moral standards. Since Plutonians were effectively immortal and Satanas was brilliant enough to escape any prison, the villainous scientist was placed on rocket ship with no controls and launched into deep space. A thousand years later, in the 1940s, Satanas managed to gain control of his ship. Unable to find Pluto, he traveled to the closest planet he could see - Earth. Feeling that humanity was too primitive to put up any resistance, he decided to conquer it.
