He was once thought dead because he tried taking over the country in the past, but his attempt was halted by four adventurers, Claymore and Queen Cortana among them, who had used Rorrim mask to weaken him and then proceed to finish him. Unknown to them or anyone what really had happened is that he used the mask to transport himself to the Mirror World.
