Plunkballs is a magical schoolyard game, similar to marbles, in which a number of players stand along the circumference of a ring and use magic to push the balls of varying sizes, colors, and materials out of the circle while trying to prevent their opponent or opponents from doing the same. The game is played by sixth-graders in Professor Bludgeleg's Practical Magical Exercise class at the Charmbridge Academy. Constance and Forbearance Pritchard are particularly adept at the game, though Angelique Devereaux and Darla Dearborn consider it to be a "silly children's game."
