Arnold Winkler is a friend of Opie Taylor. In Opie and the Spoiled Kid, Arnold runs afoul of lawman Barney Fife and teaches Opie how to throw a tantrum. The loss of Opie and Arnold's baseball initiates a series of events that lead to a major moon shining bust in The Haunted House.
