Gus Medica is the gentleman who contacted Detective Rush about Rita Flynn's murder in 1953. He had come across a recently published book that showed the crime scene photos of Rita's murder. He connected the dots of an original photo he had from Rita's estate that was taken moments prior to her death. This resulted in the team's investigation of her murder.
