Ingram was initially approached by show producer Sarah Wall to compose for the series for his composition work on fellow DHX Media program Martha Speaks. The first demo he produced was the Laughter Song. As of My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Dance Magic, Ingram is no longer the composer for the Equestria Girls franchise. Despite this, he also worked on the Summertime short Good Vibes.
