The Merchant Freighter A2 model was first introduced by the Neimoidian Volunteers Ship Yards (N.V.S.Y.) on 18 ABY. It is a Merchant Freighter equiped with hyperdrive for large trips and with special shielding. It can be easily navigated just with one pilot for crew as minimum. It can be also used as supply freighter because of its medium size. The N.V.S.Y. stated that this was one of the top 18 ABY Model-Series of the company.
