Cliff Richard (1940) is a British pop singer. He was the first British rock 'n roll idol, when he made his debut in the 1950s. Despite his long career he is seen as part of the establishment, singing clean and safe pop songs, often about his Christian faith. He is also well known for being a bachelor for his entire life.
