The XPT700 features a neck-through-body construction, a double locking tremolo and DiMarzio pickups. In 2009, the entire Xiphos line was visually updated with broader body bevels and new finishes. For 2011, the Wizard II neck was changed to a Wizard III. Various new Xiphos models have been issued since 2007, including a hard-tail, a seven-string, a 27-fret model and a more affordable model. In 2009, a limited edition variant with DiMarzio D Activator-X pickups, the XPT750, was produced.
