Adred was a Ferengi, father of Ishka, grandfather of Quark and Rom and great-grandfather of Nog. Brunt cited the family relationship when explaining to Quark in 2371 his culpability for his mother's crimes. (DS9: "Family Business") This character was only mentioned in dialogue. According to the script, his name was pronounced as "AH-dred". [1]
