The second planet in the PAX system, La'an is the home base for the Crossbones Exchange due to the planet's uncanny polar magnetism; whereas most planet's magnetism would interfere with interstellar communications, La'an's magnetic variance actually amplifies radiometric frequencies, thus making long-range communications more efficient. La'an supports two moons: the first, Aleah, is inhospitible to life, but shares La'an's magnetic properties, and thus much of the Crossbones Exchange's Grid access hardware is located upon its surface. The second, Victrey, is home to the Chellian compound, the Observatory.
