The Pirates had a long history dating back to at least the early 1950's when they won the WOAA championship for the 1953-54 season. The team also won the same championship in the 1997-98 season. The Centenaires name was previously used in Seaforth by a Junior D that played in the OHA from 1975 to 2002 winning the OHA's Junior D championship in 1985-86.
