Bail Organa was an Alderaanian politician. When Anakin Skywalker killed Emperor Palpatine, Organa led a counterrevolution in the Senate and restored the old Republic laws. After that he served two four-year terms as the President of the Republic and was then replaced by Padmé Naberrie in office.
