The Predominant was an Imperial-class Star Destroyer under commission by the Imperial Navy during the time after the Battle of Yavin. The Predominant was commanded by Grand Admiral Demetrius Zaarin, who used it to tour the very edge of Imperial space. Emperor Palpatine was with him aboard the vessel when they took a trip to Endor, showing the Emperor the preparations for construction of the second Death Star.
