Alex O'Loughlin (born August 24, 1976 as Alexander O'Lachlan) played Detective Kevin Hiatt during Season 6 of The Shield. O'Loughlin was born in Canberra, Australia, but was raised in Sydney. He graduated in 2002 from National Institute of Dramatic Art. After his role on The Shield, he has starred on the CBS shows Moonlight, Three Rivers, and Hawaii Five-0 costarring Daniel Dae Kim.
