Kev Parker is a journalist with the Hotten Courier and friend of Harriet Finch. Harriet met up with Kev in The Woolpack in March 2017, hoping Kev would be able to provide some publicity for the Narcotics Anonymous meeting she was setting up at the Village Hall. Harriet introduced Kev to former addict Jai Sharma and Moira Dingle, whose daughter Holly had died of an overdose six months previously. Kev thought his editor would just put a paragraph about the NA meeting on the local services page so Moira offered to tell him Holly's story. Jai struggled talking about Holly and walked out. Before he left the pub, the Emmerdale choir performed an awful rendition of Happy Days hoping to get some publicity.
