He wrote The Thomas the Tank Engine Man, the biography of the Reverend W. Awdry, both in book form and as an early program for BBC Radio 4. The former had been out of stock for years after it's publication, however an updated edition of the book is republished for May 2015 by Lion Books to coincide the 70th anniversary of The Railway Series. He is also known for bonus features in recent releases of Disney films on DVD and Blu-ray.
