Tarver is a Guad native islander who was captured by Japanese soldiers during the Allied attack. He appears in the mission "Midnight Raid on Guadalcanal" in Medal of Honor: Rising Sun. During the mission, the player has the option of rescuing him or not. If the player rescues him, he picks up a machete and shows the Marines a secret path to the foxhole field, only to be cut down by hiding soldiers. If the player does not help him, he is bayoneted on the spot.
