In 2009, after the Ghostmaker and Pearl escaped the film, they released Stromboli and the other Night Travellers by playing the film in the Electro. Jack Harkness then filmed Stromboli and the other Night Travellers on a film camera and exposed the camera's untreated film to sunlight, destroying them. However, Jack feared that the Night Travellers could return through other lost rolls of old film that contained them. (TV: From Out of the Rain)
