Casey Jones finds Jim being chased by a homophobic group of people, whom Casey incapacitates, saving Jim from harm. Out of gratitute, Jim offers to buy Casey a drink. At the bar, Casey tells Jim about how the brutal murder of his brother Davy motivated him to become a street vigilante. Jim is amazed by this story, but the bartender Jesse informs Jim that none of the story was true—Casey is an only child, and Davy never existed. Jim is left disappointed, still wishing to find out who Casey Jones really is.
