The Mark V(D) MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor was an advanced and experimental variant of the standard Mark V armor later used by the SPARTAN-II supersoldiers. Manufactured by Daedal Tech - a prominent military technology supplier based on Reach - supplied by top-of-the-grade Office of Naval Intelligence scientists, and based on data copied from Doctor Halsey's ongoing development of the Mark V suit, the Hayabusa Powered Assault Armor (made by RKD), as well as some innovations used in recent MJOLNIR Mark IV variants and the Semi-Powered Infiltration (SPI) Armor, the Mark V(D) variant incorporated a wide variety of technological improvements over the Mark IV, as well as improved stealth features. On the other hand, since it was prematurely finished - unlike Halsey's standard Mark V - the suit
