The Kaufmann Key is one of the keys Harry Mason picks up in Silent Hill. Michael Kaufmann drops the key along with his wallet on his way out of Annie's Bar. After Harry saves Kaufmann from an attacking monster, they have a short discussion and Kaufmann hurriedly leaves, neglecting the key on the ground beside the billiard tables. It unlocks the door to Room No. 3 in Norman's Motel, as indicated by the tag, and must be picked up in order to complete the Kaufmann Sidequest that is necessary for achieving a Good ending.
