The FMM UV is the science vessel which, in 2190 A.D. while captained by Turan Choks, discovered the planet FMM UV-32, on which the Carnivores series takes place. The planet's designation suggests that it is the thirty-second planet discovered by the ship, though any details of the earlier 31 planets - or of any planets discovered by it after the discovery of FMM UV-32 - are unknown, as are any other details of the ship itself.
