Matthias Kranz is a computer scientist best known for his work in ubiquitous computing, Pervasive Computing, and Tangible User Interface. He was assistant professor at the Technische Universität München where he joined the faculty in 2009. Since 2012, he is associate professor for Pervasive and Mobile Computing and works at the Department for Computer Science, Electrical and Space Engineering at Luleå University of Technology.
