The coalition was largely non-idealogical, aside from being anti-communist. Within the Popular Front the Minzhudang was the most dominant party being largely liberal whilst the the SDP, Manzuxiehui, and KPP were social democratic, nationalist, and focussed on Korean interests respectively. As such often the Popular Front took centrist stances incorporating both left and right policies, although it always had a rightward stance. The Popular Front was dissolved in 1995 after the KPP and the Manzuxiehui left the coalition over differences with the Minzhudang party.
