Pathfinder Ryder is the human protagonist of Mass Effect: Andromeda. After a series of unfortunate events in the Andromeda galaxy, the mantle of human Pathfinder passes to one of Alec Ryder's twin offspring. Pathfinder Ryder commands the Tempest in their father's absence and leads the search for humanity's new home in the Heleus Cluster.
