The Battle of Anoth was fought between the New Jedi Order and the New Sith Imperium in 1,023 ABY, during the Third Galactic Civil War. The Jedi had successfully hidden from the Sith in the decade that followed the collapse of the Galactic Alliance, but the Sith were able to learn the location of the Jedi Temple on Anoth. They sent a force of Sith warriors led by Andraste, the Sith Empress, to attack the temple and destroy the Jedi. As the attack began, Andraste used the Force to pull the Jedi flagship, the Light of the Force, out of orbit, sending it crashing onto the surface below.
