A flatstender was a Swokes Swokes whose job was to travel about the vast expanse of the Tract in a landspeeder, tending to pilgrims in peril, maintaining the stone stelae that made up the giant funerary monument, removing dead animals, and reporting intruders. Thousands of such individuals were employed by the Tract Conviction on the planet Makem Te. Burba of Strekk was a flatstender.
