Mekoha Uprising was a violent insurgency among the Medusans against the representatives of the Star Kingdom of Manticore present on their planet in the year 1901 PD. It was caused by agents of the People's Republic of Haven, who supplied the non-human natives with a dangerous, highly addictive drug called Mekoha. The end result was the destruction of a Native Protection Agency shuttle and the murder of its crew, followed by a violent assault by an army of Mekoha-affected warriors on the Manticoran government compound. The defenders were able to hold out against the attackers, but the battle was a bloodbath. (HH1, Companion)
