In 2004, he guest starred on Sesamstrasse Folge 2235, playing Möbius, the dream of the rose garden, discovered by Finchen. Prückner was a regular on German television as hypochondriac Kommissar Schubert in the comedic crime series Adelheid und ihre Mörder (1993-1999). On the long-running crime series, Tatort, he has appeared often in the Hamburg-produced episodes. He guest starred as Kommissar Palu's informant Marcel in 1992, reprising the role three more times through 2000. He became a regular as Oberkommissar Halicek (2001-2008) before returning to guest roles.
