The AEGIS Armor began development on Reach II in the 2640s after the TITAN Program began. The armor system was created primarily by the Huragok with support and direction from Human scientists. The AEGIS was meant to be an armor system that combines technology from the best defense systems in the UGA including the Sangheili Combat Harness and the HODST exoskeleton. Due to the Huragok's technological skill, the armor was extremely efficient as it was more powerful but less costly than it's predecessors.
