Clyde Belasco is a famous treasure hunter embroiled in Stan Banks' hunt for the fabled "Blue Butterfly". Clyde had spent a decade and a half on a quest for the necklace, but was reinvigorated by Stan's discoveries, and seemed to have ample cause for killing, especially when it came to light that he had "bought out" the homeless guy who was squatting in a prime location for the missing jewellery. Despite, however, showing every willingness to murder for the object of his obsession, Clyde was beaten to the punch by someone else, who chloroformed him and took him out of the equation.
