The Building and Social Housing Foundation (BSHF) is an independent housing research charity, with work that covers a broad range of issues around housing. It was established in 1976 and is based in Coalville in Leicestershire in the United Kingdom, but does work internationally. In 2006 it was granted Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. It is responsible for the World Habitat Awards.
