The 1965–66 Division 2 season was the second tier of ice hockey in Sweden for 1965–66. The league consisted of 86 teams, divided into eight geographical groups of 10 or 12 teams apiece. The eight group winners continued to a promotion qualifier, which resulted in Clemensnäs IF, Mora IK, Rögle BK, and Avesta BK being promoted to Division 1 for the 1966–67 season.
