All 4 Funguars are named after soft objects used for resting on. Toadpillow is named after a pillow, Toadcushion is named after a cushion, Toadbolster is named after a bolster, a long pillow put beneath regular pillows to elevate them, and Toadsquab is named after a squab, a type of soft, padded sofa. Their names were presumably inspired by the word toadstool and the other definition of stool (as an object to sit on).
